Paraguayan Eggs Reach Singapore Market

Paraguay reached a new commercial milestone: starting this week, the country can export eggs to Singapore's demanding market. The authorization was confirmed this Wednesday by José Carlos Martin Camperchioli, president of the National Animal Health and Quality Service (Senacsa), who celebrated the advancement as an achievement of the country's sustained technical efforts in animal health.

The approval process concluded successfully, and according to official sources, the first shipments of the product could depart as early as this weekend bound for the Asian country.

“The inclusion of our eggs in the Singaporean market, alongside meat products, reinforces Paraguay's credibility in animal health”, Martin emphasized. This market opening results from rigorous audits and a sanitary system that has also enabled Paraguay to enter markets such as the United States and Canada.

Singapore, with agricultural import potential approaching USD 900 million, represents a strategic step to diversify destinations and strengthen the presence of Paraguayan products in Asia.

Until now, Paraguay already exported beef, pork, and poultry to Singapore. Now, eggs join the list of authorized products, marking significant progress in the food portfolio that the country can offer internationally.

The government also indicated that negotiations are underway with other countries such as Chile, where new export opportunities are expected to open in the short term.
